Philip Sen is a Natural Hazards Research Australia’s Node Research Manager based from the Sydney node.
Philip brings experience across disaster resilience, climate adaptation and cross-sector partnerships. He previously managed the NSW Bushfire and Natural Hazards Research Centre, a multi-agency program connecting six universities and Indigenous partners with multiple government end-users.
He has worked across the academic and not-for-profit sectors, with previous roles with the United Nations and international not-for-profits supporting disaster risk reduction, community resilience and policy engagement in Australia and overseas. Philip is committed to helping researchers, practitioners and decision-makers work together to ensure emerging knowledge is useful, usable and used across the natural hazard spectrum.
