About
Hanna Grzybowska received the Ph.D. degree in operational research from the Department of Statistics and Operational Research, Technical University of Catalonia (UPC), Barcelona, Spain. She is a Senior Research Scientist and Lead for the Agent-Based Modelling Team within the Natural Systems Modelling Group at Data61 CSIRO.
In addition to her role at Data61 CSIRO, she serves as an Adjunct Lecturer at the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering’s Research Centre for Integrated Transport Innovation (RCITI), University of New South Wales (UNSW). Her areas of expertise encompass a range of disciplines, including agent-based modelling, simulation, transport and traffic modelling, operations research, and optimisation methodologies tailored for real-time and dynamic problem-solving scenarios.
Her work is characterized by an application-driven approach, focusing on the development of robust, expert decision support systems and digital twins. Currently, her research is centred on the design and implementation of agent-based modelling solutions to enhance evacuation strategies in the context of natural disasters.
