Project and roles
Dr Rosie Gallagher is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at The University of Queensland Business School. Rosie’s PhD investigated the 2019–2020 bushfires and 2022 Northern Rivers floods, examining how communities navigated institutional disruption, sensemaking breakdown, and improvised community-led responses. Her current research focuses on how disaster resilience is built and shared across governments, industries and communities through recovery policy and program implementation. Rosie's work bridges academic and practical domains to support more equitable and place-sensitive approaches to disaster recovery.
