Managing animals during a hazard (Bendigo Advertiser)
Participants are needed to take part in a survey of community bushfire preparation and response in Tasmania.
The survey will inform research from the CRC project Managing Animals in Disasters. The research aims to improve community bushfire safety in south eastern Tasmania by collating the views and decisions of households living in areas at risk of bushfire. Some of the results will also be applied more broadly to Australia and internationally.
Bushfires are a part of life in many parts of Australia. The survey is intended to gather as much information as possible about people’s experience of bushfires. The survey will cover the presence of a bushfire survival plan, factors that might influence your plan, information sources and the safety of animals during a bushfire.
Parts of the survey are quite detailed depending on individual circumstances and experiences. It is estimated it will take participants approximately 25 minutes to complete.
