It is not too late to apply for funding under the CRC’s Tactical Research Fund, which encourages short-term research projects to meet the near term needs of Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC partners.
Applications for the third round of the fund are open until 28 February, with up to $250,000 available.
The fund will support projects that address short term, end-user strategic issues for the sector and have national significance. All applications should be made by end-user partners of the CRC.
Project proposals can include extensions of existing research projects and represent continuations of previously funded CRC projects, or represent new research initiatives, including scoping studies, synthesis studies and literature reviews. They may also support CRC project utilisation activities and provide an avenue for new partners to link to the CRC.
Funding through the Tactical Research Fund is competitive and before completing an application form, you are encouraged to discuss your application with the CRC’s Research Director (john.bates@bnhcrc.com.au) to ensure your proposed project and your approach are sufficiently well described, are addressing a clear research or utilisation need and are feasible within the funding and time available.
