Make sure your research is represented at Australasia’s largest emergency management conference, AFAC19 powered by INTERSCHUTZ. Abstract submissions are due on 11 February, with all CRC projects expected to submit an abstract.

AFAC19 powered by INTERSCHUTZ takes place in Melbourne this year from 27-30 August, and will be attended by emergency managers, land managers, volunteers and researchers from Australia and overseas.
Openingwith the CRC’s Research Forum, AFAC19’s main theme will be ‘A shift to the new norm: riding the wave of change’
While the Research Forum is dedicated to natural hazards science, science papers will appear in the program across the three dayconference, opening up research to a broad audience across emergency management.
The abstract submissions are open to all levels who are involved within the emergency management sector, from academics to industry and from local community to government.
27-30 August is set to be a big week in Melbourne, with partner conferences the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference and the Institution of Fire Engineers National Conference also part of AFAC19, along the professional development program and fieldtrips.
The conference will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from the 27 – 30 August 2019, with the conference program announced in April.
