Fire Managers from across the north of Australia discussed topics of current interest to the region at the North Australian Fire Management Forum in Broome, Western Australia, from 8-9 July 2014.
This annual forum is now supported by the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC, as the Bushfire CRC drew to a close this year.
An outcome of the meeting is the annual Bushfire Seasonal Outlook for northern Australia - the Outlook is distributed as a Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC Hazard Note.
The forum began with a series of presentations and discussion on major topics. On the second day, the Forum included a field trip to Country Downs Station to view local fire management practices.
