As 2017 begins, the CRC has plans for another important year in our development. All projects are finalising their current work in the next six months, and the research portfolio for the next four years was approved by the Board at the December meeting. Many existing projects are continuing their work, some are transitioning to utilisation, and new projects will begin, looking at predicting the impacts of natural hazards on the built environment in coastal areas, diversity in emergency services, mental health and well-being in emergency services, catastrophic event planning, improving land use planning practices for enhanced mitigation and mental health resilience in disaster recovery.
