The Partnership Development Manager is a new and key position in the CRC office, and will be critical to the success of the CRC. The position will have responsibility and accountability for growing the long term funding base of the CRC. Consistent with the mission and vision of the CRC, the Partnership Development Manager will work closely with the CEO, Research Director and Communications Manager to:
Develop a strategic plan for growing the funding base of the CRC
Identify and develop: new long term partner relationships and funding opportunities; new lines of business: major grant funding and tender response opportunities
Negotiate and close contracts
Help to maintain existing relationships
Management of contracted projects will subsequently be carried out by CRC Research Managers. The Partnership Development Manager and Research Managers will work closely together to ensure that client needs continue to be met satisfactorily. The Partnership Development Manager will be a strategic thinker able to convert opportunities into actual business, have a good eye for detail and a working knowledge of emergency management, the research sector and intellectual property management.
The Partnership Development Manager provides expertise in converting relationships and business development activities into actual revenue growth.
