Several Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC researchers and end-users are participating in the United Nations conference in Sendai, Japan, and will be active in social media during the conference week 14-18 March.

Other CRC participants and presenters include Professor Kevin Ronan, CQUniversity, Dr Michael Eburn, Australian National University, Professor John Handmer, RMIT University, and end-users Tony Jarrett from the NSW Rural Fire Service, Damien Killalea, Tasmania Fire Service and John Richardson of the Red Cross.
The CRC will also be prominent in the Australian Government's booth in the exhibition hall, which is open to conference delegates and to the general public.
The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC is officially linked to the conference as the appointed coordinator for the Integrated Research on Disaster Risk (IRDR) in Australia.
