Funding available for tactical research

Short-duration research projects to meet the near term needs of Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC partners can now be funded through the Tactical Research Fund.

The fund will support projects that address short term strategic issues for the sector and have national significance, as well as supporting the outcomes of AFAC Collaboration Groups.

Applications for the first round of the fund close on 31 March, with up to $250,000 available. There will be a second round closing on 30 June.

Project proposals can be extensions of existing research projects and represent continuations of previously funded CRC projects, or represent new research initiatives, including scoping studies, synthesis studies and literature reviews.
