The abstract submission date for AFAC19 powered by INTERSCHUTZ has been extended to Monday 18 February.
All CRC research projects are expected to make a submission via the conference website, which covers submission guidelines and essential information about the conference theme and topics to be addressed.
Serving as the Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC annual conference, held jointly with AFAC, AFAC19 will take place at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre from 27-30 August, and will be attended by emergency managers, land managers, volunteers and researchers from Australia and overseas.
The first day of the conference will open with the CRC’s Research Forum, with the first day dedicated to natural hazards science. While the Research Forum is angled towards natural hazards science, science papers will appear in the program across the three-day conference, opening up research to a broad audience across emergency management.
The abstract submissions are open to all levels who are involved within the emergency management sector, from academics to industry and from local community to government.
The conference provides the perfect space to network, gain knowledge, learn from experts in the sector and witness the huge trade exhibition.
The conference week is set to be a big week in Melbourne, with partner conferences the Australian Disaster Resilience Conference and the Institution of Fire Engineers National Conference also part of AFAC19, along the professional development program and fieldtrips.
2018's trade exhibition will once again feature a huge trade exhibition, thanks to the partnership with INTERSCHUTZ.
