The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC has released an updated student booklet, showcasing the postgraduate program.
A new book detailing the research of CRC PhD students is now available. Featuring all 124 PhD students across both the scholarship and associate student programs, the book showcases the science of each PhD researcher, including the 54 that have completed their theses to date.
CRC Research Director Dr John Bates says that the contributions each PhD student has made to the emergency management sector is a testament to the program.
“These studies represent a huge wealth of knowledge for Australia and New Zealand to draw upon, both within our universities, but also within our emergency services and land management services.
“It is incredibly pleasing that over 50 students have already completed their studies, with many now working in our emergency services and land management partner agencies, as well as universities. The foundations of a valuable research-enabled workforce are in place and the benefits from the research of our students will be obvious for years to come,” Dr Bates said.
