Positive mental health for young adult volunteers – closing 3 February 2020
The research question the project seeks to answer is: What can be done at an individual, local and organisation-wide level to minimise the short and long-term impacts of potentially traumatising events, and promote good mental health and wellbeing for young adult (16-25 year old) volunteers in emergency service organisations?
understand the current state of knowledge and practice in minimising the psychological impacts of potentially traumatising events
provide a framework and guidance for fire and emergency services agencies that help them support positive mental health and wellbeing of early career volunteers, with a particular focus on volunteers aged 16 - 25.

Researchers are also encouraged to provide a consortium approach. In this case one party would be nominated as the lead research organisation and have overall responsibility for project delivery.
