CRC researcher Khalid Moinuddin presenting at AFAC19
The abstract submission date for AFAC20 powered by INTERSCHUTZ has been extended to Friday 28 February 2020.
All CRC core research projects are expected to submit an abstract via the conference website, which contains more information on submission guidelines and the conference theme and topics that will be addressed. The largest emergency management conference in Australia provides a great chance to showcase your research. All associate students and completed scholarship students are encouraged to submit an abstract.
Taking place at the Adelaide Convention Centre from 25-28 August, AFAC20 will be attended by emergency managers, land managers, volunteers and researchers from Australia and overseas, providing the opportunity to network, gain knowledge, learn from experts, and witness Australasia’s largest emergency management exhibition.
The CRC’s Research Forum will kick-off the conference in a day dedicated to natural hazards science. Science papers will also appear in the program across the three-day conference, opening up research to a broad audience across the emergency management sector.
Abstract submissions are open to all levels involved within the emergency management sector, from academics to volunteers, career staff to industry, and local community to government.
Held in conjunction with the Institution of Fire Engineers (Australia) National Conference, Australian Disaster Resilience Conference and the Women in Firefighting Australasia Conference, AFAC20 is set to be a big week in Adelaide.
