This project was commissioned and funded entirely by the NSW Rural Fire Service.
In March 2018 the Reedy Swamp bushfire affected Tathra, NSW and surrounding areas. At the request of the NSW Rural Fire Service, the CRC conducted research investigating the information and warnings received by the community during the fire, as well as the planning, preparedness and responses of those affected.
This research built on previous studies the CRC has conducted for the NSW Rural Fire Service on the 2017 bushfires and 2013 bushfires.
