Introducing the Australian Disaster Resilience Index

The Bushfire and Natural Hazards CRC, in partnership with the University of New England, presents the Australian Disaster Resilience Index. 

Backed by years of CRC research at UNE, with support from agencies and governments around Australia, the Australian Disaster Resilience Index provides the first nationally standardised snapshot of the capacities for disaster resilience in Australian communities. 

Communities, government and emergency services can use the Australian Disaster Resilience Index to take informed and practical steps towards improving the disaster resilience of local communities before, during and after natural hazards.
