Student researcher
This project concluded in 2017. The research was conducted by PhD student Caroline Wegner who looked at flood management in a changing climate: integrating effective approaches.
As an undergraduate, Caroline majored in archaeology and anthropology from 1986-1989 and for her honours thesis, she analysed shell midden material from Papua New Guinea. This led to a research assistant position to carry out similar work for another researcher as part of the Lapita homeland project. The results of her research were published by respective researchers.
Caroline now works in natural resource management where she's been a landcare volunteer for over twenty years.
In September 2015 she took part in ANU's Three Minute Thesis competition. Watch her presentation below.
